Terms & Conditions, Liability Waiver & Property Disclaimer

By confirming a booking with Fila and Floyd it is understood that you agree to our terms and conditions, liability waiver and property disclaimer as set out below;

Fila and Floyd is the combined name / reference for Fila and Floyd Cat hotel Pty Ltd, Fila and Floyd Dog Hotel Pty Ltd and Fila and Floyd Doggy Daycare Pty Ltd.

1. Liability waiver

Whilst all reasonable care and precautions are taken to ensure your pet receives the best care during its stay and to keep its belongings safe, you distinctly agree that Fila and Floyd and/or owner, director, employees, suppliers, partners, representatives or client of Fila and Floyd cannot be held liable for any death, illness, injury, loss of any pet or person or damage or loss of any property or belongings.

2. Terms and conditions

Only pets that meet our admission requirements will be accommodated in our facilities.
Sick and injured pets are best cared for at home or at a veterinary clinic. Fila and Floyd reserves the right to cancel any booking if the pet is deemed not healthy for our environment on the day of check-in. Any medical condition must be declared to Fila and Floyd before check-in.
Fila and Floyd staff are equipped to care for some special needs and/or administer basic or chronic medication. All medication must be clearly marked and explained at check-in.
Fila and Floyd reserves the right to act in the best interest of your pet and take your pet to a veterinary for any illness developed or injury sustained whilst in our care. You are liable for the payment of any fees relating to such an event.
Fila and Floyd requires dogs to be free of any contagious disease or condition and the following vaccinations or treatments must be done before check-in;
- 5-in-1 / 4-in-1 vaccination at least 10 days before check-in, valid for 12 months
- Rabies vaccination at least 10 days before check-in, valid for 24 months
- Kennel cough vaccination / treatment at least 3 days before check-in, valid for 12 months.
- Tick, flea and deworm treatment at least 48 hours before check-in valid for three months.
Fila and Floyd requires cats to be free of any contagious disease or condition and the following vaccinations and treatments must be done before check-in:
- 3-in-1 / 4-in-1 vaccination at least 10 days before check-in, valid for 12 months
- Rabies vaccination at least 10 days before check-in, valid for 24 months
- Flea, tick and deworm treatment at least 48 hours before check-in, valid for 3 months.
Fila and Floyd requires all pets 8 months and older to be sterilised.
New clients are required to completed a registration form which captures all your pets information. You agree to complete this truthfully with as much information as possible.
First time dog bookings at Fila and Floyd is subject to a successful assessment / trial day. During this day your dog will be assessed to ensure that it is suitable for our cage free environment. Fila and Floyd does not accommodate dogs that show any sign of aggression at our facilities. Fila and Floyd has the final decision if a dog is suitable for our environment or not.
Fila and Floyd Dog Hotels and Daycares are a cage free environment. Your dog will interact with other dogs while in our care. Although we put in place all reasonable measures to prevent any negative interactions and incidents, injury from play and / or the spread of disease, it might still happen and your dog might still be exposed to this. You agree that Fila and Floyd and/or owner or employees cannot be held liable for any injury, illness or death as a result of this.
You agree that should your pet’s behaviour become aggressive, uncontrollable, destructive or unreasonable, you will be requested to collect your pet within 24hours. If this is not possible Fila and Floyd reserves the right to transfer your pet to a partner boarding kennel with a caged environment or to a veterinary clinic. All cost in this regard will be the liability of the owner.
All accommodation fees are payable before your pet is checked-in. Should you check-out your pet before planned date, a credit note will be given for any nights not used.
Fila and Floyd requires a non-refundable deposit of 50% for any booking made for 14 December – 4 January
Long-term stays are billed per month. Each month should be paid in advance. All outstanding fees must be settled before check-out.
If it is necessary to extend your booking while away, date changes should be communicated as soon as possible. Acceptance of this is subject to availability. Additional nights’ fees should be paid before check-out.
Should legal aid or other steps be required to recover outstanding debts, such costs will be for the account of the owner of relevant pets.
Our check-in and check-out times are;
- Cat Hotel - Monday to Sunday 07h30 - 17h30
- Dog Hotel & Daycare - Monday to Sunday - 06h30 - 18h00
Check-in and check-out times outside the above must be specifically arranged in advance.
Viewings are strictly done by prior appointment

3. Property Disclaimer

All persons entering our premises or using any facilities, do so entirely at their own risk and subject to the following conditions;
- These premises are private property and the owner, manager and/or operator of these premises reserves the right to refuse admission or entry to any person.
- These premises are monitored 24/7 by CCTV surveillance.
